To begin with, 2023 was a year marked by post-pandemic consolidation. IPM has witnessed a significant shift in client confidence. Initially hesitant to commit to new projects but now moving forward, we have been receiving a steady influx of enquiries from potential clients.
In May, we were pleased to welcome Julia Rees, who joined us to oversee our finance, marketing, HR, and administration. In September, Francine Smith joined our team as our Senior Global Mobility Consultant, bringing valuable experience from ECA. We also bid farewell to Scott Niven, our esteemed Ops Director, who chose early retirement in September. We extend our best wishes to him for the future.
For IPM, the landscape of Global Mobility is evolving rapidly, marked by a rising number of permanent transfers and an upswing in short-term assignments. However, the challenges of remote working across international borders persist, requiring meticulous compliance with tax, social security, and immigration laws. As such, clients are increasingly seeking our expertise in formulating their global mobility strategies.
Our presence in the realm of global mobility continues to expand. Collaborating with our marketing partner, we are enhancing our social media and SEO visibility, complemented by the launch of a new website. We also actively participate in local conferences and networking events to stay on top of industry developments. Moreover, our partnership with Global Mobility Journeys is a testament to our commitment, with further plans underway to bolster our partnership portfolio in the upcoming year.
In October, we made massive strides with the implementation of The Ineo Technology platform which coincides with our process improvement project. This will transform our productivity and delivery and we continue to upgrade our in-house technology to constantly improve processes being a fully remote workforce.
Additionally, in 2023, select members of our team participated in Conqueror challenges, covering distances equivalent to renowned world landmarks. This not only contributed to promoting mental health but also aligned with Conqueror’s environmental initiatives. Our commitment to social responsibility extends to continued donations to Relocate the Profit Group, which has successfully raised over £15,000 for the Tanzania Livingstone Trust. These funds contribute to vital projects in schools, including the construction of new toilet blocks with running water and dormitories for girls, aiming to eliminate long and risky walks to and from school. Moreover, the support aids local communities in generating income from small businesses, ensuring they can afford secondary school fees. As part of our ongoing commitment, we also directed our Christmas donation this year to Book Trust, marking a significant stride in our journey towards becoming a more responsible and ethical company.

One of our primary objectives for 2024 is the completion of ISO9001 and 27001 accreditation. We’ve diligently laid the groundwork, currently standing at an impressive 75% completion, with expectations to finalise this crucial certification in Q1. This milestone is more than a mere acknowledgment of our commitment to quality; it is a testament to our dedication to providing reliable and secure services for our clients.
Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives take centre stage in the coming year. Our heightened focus on sustainability and ethical practices reflects not only a sense of corporate responsibility but also a genuine commitment to making a positive impact on the world around us. Beyond broadening our global presence, we aim to cultivate a team that mirrors the diversity and dynamism of the global mobility landscape.
